Senior Java Developer
Plano, TX (Hybrid/Onsite 4 days per week)
We are seeking a Senior Java Developer to build the next generation of modern cloud-native banking applications.
Your role will be to design and build mission critical enterprise applications that drive efficiencies and deliver an elevated customer experience for both internal and external customers.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend applications using Java and Spring Boot
• Build and support microservices-based architectures for enterprise banking platforms
• Develop, enhance, and manage RESTful APIs to integrate internal and external systems
• Ensure applications meet banking standards for security, reliability, scalability, and compliance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, architects, QA, and DevOps
• Troubleshoot, optimize, and modernize existing services and legacy systems
• Participate in code reviews and promote best practices in software engineering
• Support deployment pipelines and cloud-based infrastructure in Azure environments
Required Qualifications
• 7+ years of professional software development experience with Java
• Strong hands-on expertise with Spring Boot and Spring Framework
• Proven experience building microservices and distributed systems
• Solid background in API development (REST, JSON, Swagger/OpenAPI)
• Experience with Azure cloud services and modern deployment practices
• Strong understanding of relational databases, Azure SQL and CosmosDB
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and DevOps collaboration
• Knowledge of secure development practices in regulated industries
Preferred Qualifications
• Banking or financial services technology experience
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
• Exposure to event-driven architectures (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, etc.)
• Familiarity with OAuth2, JWT, and identity/access management principles
• Understanding of enterprise integration patterns and modernization initiatives
